About Us
The NorthEast Public Health Alliance (NEPHA) is a regional collaboration of communities working together to strengthen and improve local public health. Our coalition brings together public health professionals, municipal partners, and community organizations who share a common goal: to create healthier, safer, and more resilient communities across the region.
Through the Massachusetts Public Health Excellence (PHE) Grant, the towns of Billerica, Chelmsford, Tewksbury, and Tyngsborough work together to address the growing need for coordinated public health services, shared resources, and consistent support for local health departments. By working regionally, we can expand capacity, streamline services, and deliver high-quality public health programming that may otherwise be out of reach for individual towns.
Our Work
The NorthEast Public Health Alliance supports member communities through a range of programs and services that respond to local priorities. Our work includes:
- Providing direct support to local health departments and municipal staff
- Coordinating clinical and community health services across the region
- Developing shared systems and resources that promote efficiency and consistency
- Hosting training, technical assistance, and professional development opportunities
- Supporting emergency preparedness and response efforts
- Leading regional initiatives that address emerging and long-standing health challenges
Our team consists of dedicated public health professionals who specialize in nursing, community health, environmental health, communications, and program coordination. We work closely with local leaders and community partners to ensure that our services meet the unique needs of each town.
Our Commitment
We believe strong public health systems are essential to thriving communities. NEPHA is committed to equity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We strive to create public health structures that are sustainable, people-centered, and equipped to adapt to changing needs.
Together, we are building a regional public health system that supports every community and improves health for all residents.
